NEST’s two project types are described.

• Application project: A project type that creates user application with UI/UX ran on devices.
  • Native Application

    NEST’s native application are mobile applications that use NEST components.

  • Web Application

    Builds mobile web applications using HTML files.

• Server project: A project type that creates a server program in a computer in a distributed network that provides the business logic for an application program. The NEST application server is a three teir application consisting of a graphic user interface (GUI) server, an application (business logic) server, and a database and transaction server.

  Nest web applications can be created using already developed HTML files or by developing a new HTML files with NEST web application editor. The mobile web applications can be built for multiple OS platforms and viewed for multiple device environments through the use of NEST simulator.

  Following steps will help you create your Mobile web application on NEST

  1. When opening a new web application project select the libraries you want to use. JQuery and Bootstrap are included by default but can be removed once the web application project file has been created.
  2. If you have already prepared a HTML, CSS, JS, and/or Image then once the web applciaiton project file has been created add them to the HTML Project File directory.

     

  3. Web Applications require the same basic application information such as the application’s name, ID, icon, and images as they will be used when building the web application. This basic application information can be modified thorugh the project.config file of the web application.
  4. Once the web application has been built you should be able to see the index.html page when loading the web application.
